Abstract: |
Three further trenches were excavated at a site where nine struck flints and twelve sherds of pottery, including three of early medieval date, had been found during a previous evaluation. Post-medieval material and modern features were observed. Artefacts recovered included struck flints, one possibly dating from the Mesolithic or Early Neolithic, and a small amount of medieval and post-medieval pottery. It was concluded that the finds were the result of casual loss or the manuring of agricultural land. [Au(adp)] |
