Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a trench for a pipeline, which passed close to a site where large quantities of Late Neolithic material had been recovered from a buried land surface. The remains had included concentrations of flintwork, pottery, pot boilers and charcoal associated with occupation sites, as well as pits and hearths, two broken wooden paddles and possible huts, represented by stumps of timber posts arranged in circles. During the watching brief, no features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed. [AIP] |
