Abstract: |
Although present evidence suggested that Hadrian's Wall and ditch were more likely to lie to the north of the present site than within it, since Hadrian's Wall consisted of a series of linear features - a ditch, a curtain wall with attached turrets and fortlets, and a road - part of the "Wall" may lie within the proposed development site. An examination of deposited plans showed that the site had not been cellared. A scheme of limited trial trenching was recommended. [Au(abr)] |
