Abstract: |
<summary>Desk-based study of a site proposed for development adjacent to West Burton Power Station identified no known archaeological sites within the study area, although documentary search suggested that some medieval remains may have survived, probably at the flood plain surface, and borehole data indicated that a major buried relict channel of the River Trent, containing peaty deposits likely to be of importance for palaeoenvironmental studies, lay beneath alluvium within the proposal area. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
