Abstract: |
The evaluation consisted of a program of geophysical survey (magnetometer) and trial excavations. The geophysical survey identified a series of anomalies which included linear features and areas of larger disturbance, and it was recommended that a programme of trial trenching be initiated in order to establish the nature and extent of the anomalies. As a result of the trial trenching no significant archaeological deposits were located in any of the trial trenches excavated. Those deposits encountered were the result of natural deposition and late historical origin. The only finds recovered consisted of ceramic field drains and metal objects associated with recent fly tipping. [Au] |
