Abstract: |
A site proposed for a housing development was shown to be located within an area of high archaeological potential, with the physical remains of Blaise Castle Hillfort lying 300m to the south, aerial photographic evidence of strip lynchets located within 100m of the assessment area, the find site of a hoard of mostly English medieval coins to the west of the site, and the find site of Roman pottery and masonry within 200m of the assessment area.
