Abstract: |
<summary2>A study was undertaken of the feasibility of a machine-trench evaluation on land proposed for an aggregate borrow pit, situated within the flood-plain of the River Kennet where the water table was known to be close to the surface. It was concluded that further archaeological investigation would only be feasible whilst areas of the site were being dewatered during the course of the proposed development. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
