Abstract:		 The evidence from cartographic sources indicated that there has been a bridge in this location since at least 1801. The present brick structure may have been no earlier than 19th century in date. It seemed likely that the bridge would have been built of stone, although no physical evidence for an earlier structure was seen. [Au(abr)]
