Abstract: |
Eighteen trenches were excavated across the site, in advance of a development for education and medical facilities. In each of the trenches the topsoil was removed to reveal natural which consisted of a layer of pinkish brown sandy silt into which no cut features of archaeological significance were revealed. In several of the trenches this layer was fully removed to examine the alluvial sequence, where again, no features of archaeological significance were observed. [Au(abr)] |
