Abstract: |
Three post-medieval barns and a cart-shed were recorded at a proposed development site. An area of medieval ridge and furrow and part of a water-filled moat also lay on the site. It was noted that one barn dated from the late 16th-early 17th century, one from the 17th century and one from the 18th century. The cart-shed dated from c. 1830-1840. Alterations to the buildings were noted, and it was concluded that the barns were attractive examples of vernacular farm buildings. [Au(adp)] |
