Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during topsoil stripping and the excavation of foundation and drainage trenches at the site of a new house. Roman pottery had been found close to the site, and two Bronze Age burials had been found to the north-east of Stoford. The town itself had probably been founded in the 13th century. During the watching brief, no archaeological deposits, features or artefacts were observed. [AIP] |
