Abstract: |
A number of features were investigated during the evaluation, particularly in the north-eastern part of the site, though the paucity of finds evidence made interpretation difficult. The largest feature on the site was the possible pond/quarry pit in trench 2. The features cut the subsoil and were probably relatively recent in date, though precise dating evidence was sparse. A ditch also cut the subsoil. Another field boundary ditch was also investigated. Small undated pits were recorded during the evaluation and their purpose remained unclear. [Au(abr)] |
