Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out at Dock 9, Salford. Prehistoric finds were made in the vicinity and were expected on the site. The study area also included sites of the industrial period. These include the 19th century New Barns racecourse, remains relating to No.9 Dock and remains related to the ship canal such as mooring poles and a hydraulic tower. Other periods, such as prehistoric periods and/or Anglo-Saxon/early medieval, were possibly expected. [Au(adp)] |
