Abstract: |
The assessment established that the bridge was constructed in the 15th or 16th century. It also collated and discussed the historical evidence for the repair and maintenance of the bridge. Some of the main events included the thorough refurbishment of the bridge in 1834-1838, the widening of the north side in 1899-1900 and the addition of a metal footbridge to the north side in 1949-1950.[Au(abr)] |
