Abstract: |
A low level of archaeological activity was encountered on the site during the evaluation. A linear gully and two shallow post holes produced post-medieval Verwood pottery. Another trench was located on a mound which was thought to have been of possible archaeological significance but it was revealed to be a natural occurence. An undated possible ditch terminal recorded within one of the trenches yielded a single worked flint blade and small quantities of burnt sandstone and may have reflected a localised area of activity.
