Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed that prior to the present car park there had been several 18th or 19th century brick buildings on the site, one of which was probably a small brewery, shown on the late 19th century Ordnance Survey map. Prior to this the site had been open land on alluvial deposits and was probably prone to flooding. There was no other evidence for any significant archaeological remains within the site.[Au(abr)] |
