Abstract: |
Seven trial trenches were excavated to evaluate the positions of the proposed 'ponds' and 'greens' of the Golf Court. No archaeological remains were found. Towards the south of the site the Flood Plain River Terrace Gravels were exposed beneath the topsoil. To the north, closer to the river, a substantial build-up of geologically recent alluvium and modern made ground was recorded. [Au(abr)] |
