Abstract: |
Three trenches were excavated within the site, which was used as a builder's yard. Evidence of activity between the later medieval and modern periods was identified. The evidence suggests that there was probably a small post-medieval structure toweards the north-east corner of the site. This may have been used in connection with food preparation. As the bulk of the area seems to have been used for waste disposal, this activity was almost certainly associated with one of the properties of the Castlegate frontage to the east. [Au(abr] |
