Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed four features of probable Romano-British date, one feature of probable late post-medieval date, and a sequence of buried foreshore deposits whose position is broadly similar to the position of the Itchen frontage mapped in 1820. Finds were restricted to Romano-British pottery and ceramic building material, with a single fragment of post-medieval brick. [Au(abr)] |
