Abstract: |
<summary>A desk-based study of land proposed for mineral extraction established that extensive crop marks likely to be associated with late Iron Age and Romano-British settlement and field systems lay within the proposal area. It was also considered possible that alluvium within the study area had sealed some archaeological features, which would not therefore show as crop marks. The alluvium itself potentially contained deposits indicative of past environments. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
