Abstract: |
Five trenches were mechanically excavated at the site. A ditch of Roman date was observed, containing Samian ware and burnt flint, aligned east-west. A small 5 metre long contingency trench was opened to check alignment of the ditch, with successful results. No other features of archaeological interest were observed.[Au] |
