Abstract: |
Evaluation trenches were excavated on the site. Over 20 early prehistoric tree throws were identified. Two Early Bronze Age pits were uncovered and a small scatter of Early Iron Age pits, a post hole structure and a recut ditch, all suggestive of an unenclosed settlement were identfied. Two Saxon sunken feature structures were recorded and a system of medieval furrows. A post-medieval quarrying area, a barn platform and a row of post holes were also uncovered. [Au(abr)] |
