Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundation trenches associated with the construction of new housing blocks and associated infrastructure. All of the trenches showed natural deposits overlain by 19th and 20th century deposits associated with the levelling down of the area. The trenches on the western side of the site produced a linear cut of the natural and a layer of uncertain date, below the 19th and 20th century deposits. The middle area of the site showed a post-medieval linear cut and an undated deposit. [Au(abr)] |
