Abstract:
The watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a series of five geotechnical trial trenches in advance of the proposed laying down of a number of reed beds. No archaeological features or finds were recorded during the project, although a remnant buried turf layer of undetermined date was noted below the alluvium in several of the trenches. [Au(adp)]
