Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed that medieval and post-medieval survived in a small area close to the High Street frontage, with minimal or no survival elsewhere. At the location of the surviving in situ archaeology the trench was enlarged to the size of the footprint of the pile cap intended at that position. Comprehensive excavation and recording of all archaeological strata was undertaken prior to redevelopment. [Au(abr)] |
