Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a residential development within an Archaeological Priority Zone. Neolithic and bronze age timber trackways had been excavated in the surrounding area, and the site lay within an early medieval manor. During the evaluation, peat deposits and alluvial clays and silts were noted, but no archaeological remains were revealed. It was concluded that no further work would be necessary. [AIP] |
