Abstract:
No in situ archaeological features were observed in part of the pipe trench during the watching brief, neither were any pre-modern finds recovered from the spoil heaps. Only limited exposures of the ground were made during the course of the trenching. The absence of archaeological features or finds may have been a reflection on a lack of archaeological activity in the area; given the limited depth to which the recent disturbance penetrated.[Au(abr)]
