Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained on groundworks at the site. Two substantial ditches were recorded. These ditches were interpreted as forming part of the Roman town defences. Large masonary blocks were recovered, possibly from the town's wall. The ditches were cut by post-medieval walls and a well. [Au(abr)] |
