Abstract: |
The results of the assessment of the site indicated that archaeological remains may occur. The remains would have probably dated to the medieval and post-medieval periods. The medieval period may have been represented by either buildings/structures or features associated with the early settlement of Islington. Post-medieval remains may have included industrial deposits and buildings fronting Upper Street. It was also possible that there would be evidence of prehistoric, Roman and Saxon remains. [Au(adp)] |
