Abstract: |
Monitoring was undertaken of geotechnic and diving works associated with the proposed Folkestone and Dover outfalls. At Folkestone these were supplemented by a follow-up archaeological diving inspection. The seabed was also inspected along the line of the outfall, particularly where it crosses the Mole Head Rocks, allowing an assessment of the archaeological potential of geophysical anomalies previously recorded. No in situ archaeological material was recorded and the Rocks appeared to be natural and not modified by man. [AIP] |
