Abstract: |
The overall aim of the archaeological survey was to provide a large-scale plan of the watercress beds and associated features as an aid to on-going conservation and restoration of the site by The Friends of Ewelme Watercress Beds. Eight main features were recorded. These were the banks of the watercress beds, a concrete walkway, wooden dams, wooden stakes, a canalised stream, buildings thought to be associated with the production of watercress, a road bridge, and earthworks in adjoining land.
