Abstract: |
A watching brief and fieldwalking exercise took place during topsoil stripping and excavation of the pipe trench. No features were detected although a number of Roman and Prehistoric sites were known nearby. The fieldwalking finds included 255 struck flints, mostly Mesolithic, a Palaeolithic hand axe, 34 sherds of post-medieval pottery and one sherd of black burnished ware. [Au(adp)] |
