Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out to establish the character, date and state of preservation of any archaeological deposits disturbed during redevelopment operations. Deposits of post-medieval or modern date were seen, but no finds were recovered for dating purposes. A cellar wall revealed was thought to belong to the standing, late 19th century brick structure above it. It was felt that any further excavation or demolition on, or within the immediate location of the site, would merit further archaeological observation. [Au(adp)] |
