The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The site lies within an area of established archaeological significance. Extensive archaeological research had revealed evidence of human occupation from the Palaeolithic period, with intensive continuous settlement, agriculture and ritual activity from the later prehistoric period onwards. It was likely that further archaeological sites and features remained to be discovered within the site. Three areas: the whole of the Biddenham Loop above the floodplain, the area of the Roman settlement north of Cemetery Road, and the area of Iron Age, Roman and medieval activity around The Bury, were considered to have been of high archaeological importance.
