Abstract:
The evaluation revealed an infilled pond which appeared as open on the Marsh plan of c.1760 located between the two greens of Dobney's Bowling Green. Pottery from the dump layers which sealed the pond were dated to 1730-1770. A large quarry pit was also located, with backfill dated by pottery to 1730-1770. [AIP]
