Abstract: |
The evaluation showed that the archaeological survival post-dating the natural geological horizons included: Roman consolidation of the truncated natural ground, medieval external soils, alluvial material within the medieval city ditch, Tudor masonry which may have been associated with the route between St Barholomew's Hospital and the Postern Gate into Christ's Hospital (period 5), and other post-medieval brick features. No other evidence for burials was found. [Au(abr)] |
