Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site within an Archaeological Priority Zone. Palaeolithic and neolithic artefacts and Roman features had been found in the area, whilst bronze age and iron age finds had been recovered from the nearby River Thames. Settlement in the area had been documented since early medieval times. During the evaluation, 19th century bedding trenches and garden deposits were revealed. It was concluded that the development would not have an impact on archaeological remains. [AIP] |
