Abstract: |
An evaluation, comprising fieldwalking and trenching, on land proposed for a golf course development to the south of Broxbournebury Mansion House, was undertaken. A small number of fragments of burnt and worked flint and one medieval pottery sherd were recovered during fieldwalking. Trenching to investigate cropmarks identified a small number of mostly post-medieval features, including ditches and drains, although no archaeological features were identified in association with a number of circular enclosure cropmarks.
