Abstract: |
<summary>An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on the site of a proposed gauging station, within the area of the Scheduled Roman town and fort of {italon}Cataractonium{italoff}. Three boreholes sunk by the developer were archaeologically supervised and a 1.5m by 1.5m trench was excavated. The evaluation determined that no significant archaeological deposits survived in this area, but that further development work should be archaeologically supervised. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
