Abstract: |
<summary>A desk-based assessment was undertaken of the three route options. Each of the routes would possibly affect a number of alleged Roman roads and associated roadside settlement. Other sites of archaeological interest which may be affected by the routes include a medieval smithy and post-medieval buildings, chapel and brickworks. None of the routes can be strongly recommended on archaeological grounds. More detailed evaluation of the chosen route is recommended. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
