Abstract: |
The excavation revealed two hand dug slit trenches relating to the Second World War defence of the airfield. The smaller trench could have accommodated up to four men. The larger, angled trench comprised two sections connected by a tunnel, and included possible gun emplacements. Sections of the larger trench were lined with concrete sandbags. Neither trench was excavated. [Au(abr)] |
