Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation, in the graveyard of the church, revealed skeletal remains at a depth of c.7m in a trench to the north of the church and a burial at a depth of c.1m in a trench further to the north-east. No structural evidence for an earlier church was recovered. However, two sherds of Roman pottery were recovered, along with fragments of 13th/14th century floor tiles. [Au(adp)] |
