Abstract: |
Folowing a topographic survey of earthworks on the site, two trenches were excavated to investigate aspects of the earthworks. Trench one, 9m x 1.5m, was sited to investigate a possible building platform, and trench two, 10m x 1.5m, to investigate the form and nature of a horseshoe shaped depression. The trenches demonstrated that the earthworks were partially the result of tipping or dumping activity, of possible post-medieval date. [Au(adp)] |
