Abstract: |
The watching brief confirmed that the truncation of the natural subsoil by post-medieval quarrying was less extensive around the perimeter of the site, but even there it had cut at least 0.8m deep, before being backfilled. Any archaeological remains, which previously survived on the site, would have been destroyed by the post-medieval quarrying. [Au(abr)] |
