Abstract: |
The proposed development area was located on the site of the former Beechwood Lodge, and lay adjacent to an enclosure known as Soudley Camp, which was thought to be an Iron Age enclosure (SAM 59). The assessment identified post-medieval buildings and garden features on the site, however, it was possible that the post-medieval activity may have obscured earlier archaeological features and deposits.
