The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An enhanced watching brief was carried out in the course of the phase 3 stripping at Cross Leys Quarry. In total 51 archaeological features were identified and recorded. A number of these features may have been associated with early iron smelting or extraction, though no dateable finds were recovered from these features. Other features included a possible small circular post hole structure, three probably modern boundary ditches and a number of furrows and plough marks. Results of palaeo-environmental and C14 dating analysis were not yet available. [Au(abr)]
