Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken across the site of a proposed nursing home development at the former industrial/factory plots off the High Street, Edgeware. Five trenches were opened (2 x 30m by 2.5m, 2 x 15m by 2.5m and 1 x 10m by 2.5m), one of which encountered archaeological remains in the form of two medieval pits and a ditch which probably represented part of a larger field system or tenement boundary associated with the medieval development along the frontage of High Street Edgeware.
