Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a residential development. An examination of the area stripped of topsoil and the excavated footings revealed some 19th or 20th century footings, a probable boundary ditch and a feature interpreted as a paleochannel. A large assemblage of pottery was recovered from the site, which dated mostly to the 19th and 20th centuries, it also included residual post-medieval and medieval material. [Au(abr)] |
