Abstract: |
A study of the history and archaeology of H.M.P. Oxford was commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council who would be able to buy the site from the Crown if it were to close. This site lies adjacent to the castle motte and has a high heritage value, a fact highlighted by an earlier report. Known sources were consulted and zoning of archaeological/architectural sensitivity and development constraints were highlighted.[AIP] |
