Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a residential development. Earlier desk-based assessment had indicated that the site had a moderate to good potential for archaeological remains dating from a number of periods, particulary the medieval and the post-medieval periods. During the evaluation, redeposited late 19th-20th century pottery and building material and three post-medieval drainage features were recorded. Two sherds of late medieval pottery were also recovered. It was recommended that no further archaeological investigations should be carried out. [Au(adp)] |
